High-precision, single-grain isotope analysis combining NanoSIMS and resonance ionization mass spectrometry across the periodic table.
Modern presolar grain analysis demands high precision at the single-grain scale. I use Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (NanoSIMS) for high-spatial-resolution isotope analysis across a wide range of elements, complemented by Resonance Ionization Mass Spectrometry (CHILI) for ultra-sensitive measurements of select isotopic systems. Together, these techniques span the periodic table, enabling comprehensive isotopic characterization of individual stardust grains.
